Sun East Federal Credit Union is pleased to provide Home Equity fixed-rate second mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
The maximum loan amount is determined by your ability to repay as well as the current value of your home. You may finance up to 80% of the value of your home less any mortgages or liens you currently have on your property (subject to Credit Union maximum limits). Financing beyond 80% Loan to Value ratio will be considered on a case by case basis. The only additional fees that you would incur are for the appraisal, title search, flood certification, recording of the mortgage, and satisfaction of the mortgage.
Unlike a term loan, with the Home Equity Line of Credit you only pay on the funds you need, when you need them.
Take a little or take it all. It's at your disposal. The funds are easily accessible by check, Internet Banking, phone, or at a branch location. The variable rate is Prime, with a margin ranging from -1.00% to +2.00%. The minimum payment is 1.5% of the outstanding balance or $100 whichever is greater. For example, a $25,000 balance would be a $375 payment for the month. It is subject to change quarterly.
